Dr. Gurdeep Parhar

Educational Director 
Dr. Gurdeep Parhar, a Clinical Professor at the University of BC (UBC) Faculty of Medicine, where he previously served as Associate Dean and Executive Associate Dean. He has also formerly held the positions of Associate Head and Acting Co-Head of the UBC Department of Family Practice.Dr. Parhar is the Co-Founder of the Adult ADHD Centre, which he co-founded with Dr. Anita Parhar nearly a decade ago in British Columbia, the first Adult ADHD Centre in Canada that pioneered an innovative approach to Adult ADHD assessment accessibility. Dr. Parhar’s commitment to contributing valuable insights to the medical community in pursuit of advancements in patient care and treatment strategies is evident in his published research on the Real-World Efficacy and Safety of Two ADHD Treatments, published in 2023.

Dr. Anita Parhar 

Educational Director 
In her educational endeavors, Anita’s focus has been on working with communities who have been underrecognized. Initially as an elementary school teacher, and later working as a university instructor who trained teachers, she recognized the need for greater awareness of ADHD and the importance of diagnosis and treatment for adults living with ADHD. Dr. Parhar has extensive experience in understanding the many ways ADHD presents in adults and the challenges many living with ADHD work through daily.

Chantel Chapman 

ADHD and Finance
Chantel is renowned for her cutting-edge, relatable, and trauma-informed money guidance. She founded The Trauma of Money, an accredited course certifying professionals in facilitating and healing money trauma. She has taught and and written finance curricula for universities and non-profit organizations. She is a proud member of the National Task Force for Economic Justice, supporting the Canadian Center for Women’s empowerment in ending financial abuse.

Marlee Boyle 

ADHD and Sleep 
Marlee has spent more than 10 years working as a Respiratory Therapist and transitioned to sleep therapy in 2014, becoming one of the first sleep therapists in Canada certified in clinical sleep health. Her specialties include sleep disordered breathing (obstructive sleep apnea), sleep therapy for people with ADHD / neurodivergent and treating insomnia and hypersomnia though cognitive behavioural therapy. Marlee’s goal is to change the problematic culture of sleeplessness by promoting her clients to take control of their health and wellness by making a sleep a priority in their lives.

Leah Corkum 

ADHD and Sleep 
Leah has been working in the healthcare sector for 10 years as an LPN. As a shift worker herself, Leah has led the development of shift worker education and strategy for Sleep Works, with the goal of mitigating the effects of sleep deprivation. Leah is focused on preventative healthcare and education that supports positive sleep behaviour. Her goal is to improve the daily lives and futures of her clients through the benefits of healthy sleep. Leah completed the Family Sleep Institute Child Sleep Consultant Certification program and has been a Certified Child Sleep Consultant since 2019.

Alixandra Bacon

Registered Midwife, BSc, BMW, MA
Alixandra Bacon, a Registered Midwife in Vancouver, BC, lives and works on the traditional, unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh, and Tsawwassen nations. She is the President of the Canadian Association of Midwives, Past President of the Midwives Association of BC, and clinical faculty at UBC’s Faculty of Medicine.

Passionate about health equity, Alixandra advocates for accessible midwifery care and is a recognized speaker on ADHD in pregnancy.

Dusty Chipura 

ADHD Coach
Dusty Chipura is a master certified AACC-accredited ADHD coach and certified doula based in Vancouver, BC. Dusty coaches adults from all backgrounds and walks of life and uses an anti-oppressive, anti-racist framework to make her approach to coaching more accessible and inclusive. Dusty has a special interest in ADHD and pregnancy. She has given several talks on managing ADHD during pregnancy and has co-published an ‘ADHD and Pregnancy’ journal and Notion template for pregnant individuals to help themselves manage their pregnancy.
